In this presentation, you will examine five basic components of flow cytometry theory. This presentation is intended for any operators of the system including but not limited to customers, service engineers, sales, and application specialists. This presentation is for
Training Use Only. It is not intended as a substitute for manuals and other product documentation. Always follow product labeling and manufacturer's recommendations for intended use.
Training course 1 defines the terms: sheath, hydrodynamic focusing, forward scatter, side scatter, fluorescence, peak, integral, amplification, noise discrimination, analog to digital, histogram, dotplot,
gating, and analysis.
Training course 2 defines the terms: photon, wavelength, excitation, emission, absorbance, interference, dichroic, and % Transmittance. Identifies the four basic filter types and their characteristic % Transmittance curves.
Training course 3 states the rules for selecting filters in a system. Given a set of filters,
you will be able to select the filters needed
for a multicolor system once this course is
completed.
Training course 4 when completed, you will be able to recognize when compensation is necessary and identify the factors affecting it. Compensate using the Classic compensation method and recognize a correct adjustment.
Training course 5 when completed, you will be able to describe the basic concepts involved in the application(s) of interest and recognize the basic plots representing the application(s) of interest.

In this course, you will be introduced to the basic features of the Summit™ software. This program can be used as a stand-alone application for data analysis or can be used to operate the
MoFlo™ XDP flow cytometer.
The Introduction to the Cyan™ ADP Course provides an introduction to the flow cytometer and is designed for those who own or plan to operate the Cyan™ ADP flow cytometer. The module is intended as a prerequisite to additional or more advanced instruction on the system and associated software
The Operation of the Cyan™ ADP Course is the second training module for the instrument and should only be taken only after having completed the Introduction to the Cyan™ ADP Flow Cytometer module. This course provides continued instruction on the system and focuses on operation of the instrument.
